Hello and welcome to The Sugar Fudge Fairy!

My name is Sarah and I first created The Sugar Fudge Fairy in August 2018 when I wanted to be able to work from home around looking after my 3 children. I spent months creating my own recipe for our signature soft creamy fudge, much to the delight of my family who were the chief taste-testers! I've always loved being creative and thinking outside the box so I wanted this business to be more than just another fudge business - I wanted it to be different and fun! So I created a range of unique products that take confectionary to a whole other level! My favourite invention so far has got to be our Baa Baa Fudge Sheep that I came up with for our Easter range. They may take a long time to decorate but they're so cute!

Sadly, just 18 months into our fudgey adventure the world was turned upside down by the Covid pandemic. Suddenly I was home schooling 3 children, one of which has special needs, and trying to source our ingredients became almost impossible. On top of that, once the government started to lift restrictions and everyone could go out again, online businesses saw a massive drop in sales and in autumn 2021 we made the devastating decision to close the business because I needed to find another income to keep us afloat.

Fast forward to December 2024 and, following a difficult year battling anxiety, I made the decision to leave my job and go back to working from home doing the only job I've ever truly loved! Being at home making delicious goodies and coming up with new crazy ideas to make fun confectionery is my happy place and it felt like the right time to give it another go and bring my little business back to life! So I re-registered with our local council, took my Food Safety and Allergy training again and I'm so excited to be back!

Our fudge is made the traditional way to create a beautiful golden soft smooth fudge that melts in the mouth. It is not hard or crumbly like seaside fudge and it is not one of the pretend fudge you see on TikTok made by mixing condensed milk and chocolate together (that's not real fudge in our eyes!) When I've sold at craft fayres, so many times I've had people approach my stall saying they don't like fudge (because they've only had the hard crumbly stuff or pretend fudge before!) and when they try our fudge they are instantly converted and fall in love with it straight away!

We are now based in Shortstown, which is a little village just outside Bedford in Bedfordshire. We can post our fudge throughout the UK so wherever you are, you can enjoy our yummy treats!
