Terms and Conditions
When ordering from our Ready To Go Now stock, you'll find the Best Before dates listed on each product description. Please make sure you are happy with the best before dates before placing your order as we cannot refund products that are ordered by mistake. Surprise Boxes will consist of 5 randomly selected bars from our Ready To Go Now stock. This may mean that the Best Before dates are less than a week away on some products. Please consider this before placing your order as we cannot be held responsible for the best before dates if they are still within date when received.
All other products ordered in our pre-order system will be made to order. The best before on our fudge is 3 weeks from when the fudge was made (which will be printed on the packaging). All Ready To Go Now stock will be despatched within 7 days.
Pre-order items are made and despatched within 5-10 working days. Please bare that in mind when ordering as once we start making your order it cannot be refunded or amended.
As you place your order, please check your shipping address carefully as we cannot be held responsible for incorrect shipping addresses.
If you live in Biggleswade or the surrounding area and would like to collect your order free of charge, please email us at Sarah@thesugarfudgefairy.co.uk to arrange this and we will refund the postage charge. Please be assured that your order will be handed over contactlessly with social distancing measures in place. When you knock at the door, please step back to a 2 metre distance and we will place your order on a tray on the doorstep for you to collect.
We cannot be held responsible for any delay in the processing of your order due to incorrect shipping information or not paying the correct postage / clicking on the correct postage option. No refund will be given if your order is past its best before date because you failed to pay the correct postage.
Our delivery charges are as follows:
For Parcels under 1kg
Royal Mail 1st Class £3.95
For Parcels 1-2kg
Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class £6.50
Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class £3.95
For Parcels 2-5kg
Royal Mail Tracked 48HR £10.95
Please make sure that you are home to receive your parcel as we cannot be held responsible for any delay in receiving your order because there was no one at home to receive the delivery. If you haven't received your order, please first contact your local sorting office to check if its there as this is likely to be the quickest way of finding your order. If your order is not collected in time before the products go past their best before date, no refund will be given and we will not be held responsible for this. If you fail to collect your order from the sorting office within 10 days, your order will be returned to us. No refund will be given and if you want us to resend it you will be responsible for the postage charge to send it again.
All our fudge is carefully packaged with eco-friendly packing beans and, where needed, eco-friendly bubble wrap.
At present, we unfortunately do not offer international delivery but this is something we hope to offer in the future.
In extremely warm weather we may decide to stop posting out for a few days until the weather cools down. If this will cause your order to breach the 7 day despatch time we will of course contact you to discuss this. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for heat damage to our products. If you order our products in hot weather you are doing so at your own risk.
It is extremely rare for parcels to go missing in the postal system but very occasionally this does happen. Parcels must be missing for 10 days after the date they were posted before they can be considered missing so please do not assume it is missing until that point. We advise you to check with your local sorting office to see if the parcel is there waiting to be collected (as sometimes cards aren't left) and check with your neighbours and in sheds, outhouses etc. If your parcel is still missing we will assist you with making a claim with Royal Mail for your lost parcel by providing a copy of the Proof of Postage receipt. You can find the Lost Parcel claim form on the Royal Mail website.
Please note we are unable to leave any extra delivery instructions when posting your order so it is your responsibility to make sure that you are able to receive your parcel.
Returns / Refunds
Please note that due to the nature of our products we do not accept returns for orders placed by mistake or for products that you have simply changed your mind about. We will only accept refunds if your product is faulty and you can provide photographic evidence of the problem. In order to process your refund, the product must be returned to us. Once we have received the product we will investigate the issue and contact you to discuss the outcome of the investigation. If your refund is accepted it will be processed immediately but may take up to 5-10 days to be processed depending on your payment method (although most will be processed sooner).
All allergens are clearly listed on our packaging in bold capital letters. If you have any concerns about an allergy please get in contact with us and we'll be happy to help. However, if you are still at all concerned, please do not eat our fudge.
We keep our kitchen and all utensils very clean and clean all utensils and surfaces in between batches. However, we sadly cannot guarantee that our fudge is nut or gluten free as it is made in a domestic kitchen that handles nut and gluten and other allergens.
If you are a vegetarian, please contact us if you need any help placing your order and we will be happy to assist you.
Sadly, we do not offer vegan or dairy free products at this time.
Please store your fudge in an airtight container in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight. In warm weather, we recommend that you store the fudge in the fridge to prevent it melting. But it is best eaten at room temperature.
Our fudge can be frozen (depending on toppings although most toppings can be frozen too) for up to 3 months. Please defrost thoroughly before consuming to allow the fudge texture to return to normal. Consume immediately once defrosted and do not refreeze. Please do not freeze our fudge jars as the glass may explode in the freezer!
To enjoy our fudge jars at their best we recommend that you place the jar in warm water to warm the fudge first so that it becomes deliciously soft and gooey!
